Job Description

Hands-on Mid-level Project manager who is managed technology and data related projects. Candidate have hands-on experience of SDLC processes like requirement gathering, database designing, business Rules, Functional requirement document and perform user acceptance testing for development projects, design/implement data warehouse. He should have strong project management skills like planning, effort estimation, budgeting, status reporting, Deliverables review and implementation.

 

Responsibilities:

• Technical project management for technology and data management projects. Will be responsible for technical reviews ( Dev and Testing), change management and PROD implementation and checkouts
• Program management activities of Major programs
• Status reporting -Governance decks for big programs, Weekly status reports, PROD Runbooks, Meeting MOMs
• Scoping- Budget Estimation exercise with Stakeholders and allocation in HP PPM
• Enforcing timesheet compliance for the team
• Hosting calls for projects Issue troubleshooting efforts (SWAT calls), Application set-up, Production support activities, opening Change tickets
• Continual Reconciliation of PPM, HR roaster and Business Management tracker
• New Hardware procurement and maintenance process for existing servers. Need to work with Hardware engineering (EI), Windows operations and other infrastructure groups
• Work with Architecture and innovation groups for new technology and tools evaluation and preparing scorecards
• Work with Engineering, operations and external vendors for performance testing tools like Performance Center, Load runner, OPNET, LISA, Extrahop etc
• Work with US and India project teams and handle multiple projects at the same time

 

Required skills:

• BE/B. tech/BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent. Exposure to Informatica, Distributed technology, Business Objects, Tableau preferred.

• Must have strong Program management and project management skills.
• Should be skilled with MS PowerPoint, Excel and other reporting tools
• Must have strong  SQL and data analysis skills
• Should be familiar with Budget exercise, staffing and estimation techniques. Exposure to HP PPM, Microsoft project and MS Delivery tracker preferred.
• Should be able to handle Infrastructure projects and hardware procurement
• 5+ years hands on experience in large-scale, high availability technology and data related projects
• Experience with software development life cycle required, Synergy or similar version control tool experience
• Must have great communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem solving skills required
• Must be self-motivated and articulate.
