Job Description –

Senior Engineer to be a Technical Lead for the program.

Goal is to allow engineers to easily design and build applications, while leveraging the security, integrity, and manageability expected from an enterprise infrastructure.

Platform provides a holistic integrated developer experience, while focusing on accelerating time-to-capability and increasing operational efficiency with rapid self-service provisioning of virtual development, and application environments through simple interfaces, with a pay per use accounting system.

The ideal candidate demonstrates the desired blend of Technology, Communication, and Influential skills necessary to succeed in this position.  They must be a aware of cloud technologies, cloud data monitoring and data security solutions. This person will help influence cross-functional teams, make technology decisions, drive projects to completion with high quality.

Technical skills:

- Implementation of complex applications using Java.

- Knowledge of SOA design patterns, and micro-services.

- Knowledge of OSGi technologies like Karaf, and Kafka.

- Experience in SQL & NoSQL databases like Neo4j and Cassandra.

- Python scripting.

- Knowledge of Linux Systems Administration.

- Experience with Maven and Jenkins.

- Familiarity with Docker a plus.

Leadership

- Decision Making, Technology Aware, Influencing, Enterprise Perspective, Mentor Junior team members

Communication

- Good Interpersonal Communication, Written Communication, Presentation & Demonstration, Consulting & Partnering

Cisco Best Practices

- Agile development, Virtual Remote Teaming
