| Responsibilities | · 4+ years of work experience developing software using Object Oriented programming. · Strong proficiency in the Java programming language and Java Frameworks. · Working experience in Big-data open source frameworks such as Hadoop, HBase, Spark, Pig, Hive. · Strong proficiency a modern scripting language, such as Python or Ruby. · Strong proficiency in SQL based, document based, and key-value based data stores. · Machine learning experience using open source big-data frameworks (Apache Mahout, Spark MLlib etc.) will be a great plus. · Proficiency with git. · Experience with AWS, linode, Azure, Heroku, or OpenStack. · Experience with Apache Kafka. · Experience in functional programming such as Scala. · Proficiency with Agile development methodologies. · Proficiency with LINUX/UNIX based systems. · Affinity for sports. |
