Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Web Developer will perform the following actions on a regular basis:
· Develop prototypes; build and reuse scalable code; program classes, functions, and scripts to meet requirements with sufficient error handling
· Develop web applications, pages, databases, and supporting systems on the Magento Enterprise Platform
· Develop EDI Magento extensions that integrate with various backend and supplementary systems
· Build and maintain databases; ensuring cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility; protecting against common security loopholes
· Apply concepts of graceful degradation, progressive enhancement, and unobtrusive scripting
· Monitoring status of web servers and systems
· Extracting various web site statistics
· Analyzing statistical data to ensure quality of service
· Familiarity with Code Source Repositories such as GIT and Bit Bucket.
Job Requirements:
Required:
Strong experience in the following
· Programming Languages: PHP, XML, XHTML, HTML, Ajax, jQuery, OOP
· Web Services – One or more of the following: XML, SOAP, JSON, WSDL, WS-I, XML-RPC
· Developing in PHP, JavaScript and JAVA languages
· Application development using MySQL
· Configuring applications to run on Linux servers with optimal performance
· Web interface design with strong XHTML and CSS
Preferred:
· Magento Enterprise experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate
· Develop Magento EDI extensions and interfaces utilizing web services and/or file transfer protocols.
· Experience working in eCommerce Development
· Knowledge with Amazon AWS - with Auto-Scaling experience a plus.
· AWS certification a plus
