Position: - Sr Developer with Spotfire

Location: - Plano, TX (we prefer locals)

Duration: - 11+ months

 

Requirement:-

1.        Business Performance – Reporting, Dashboards, BI and Visualization needs

2.        Data Management - Data Mart development

Languages: SAS, SQL, Alteryx

Visualization: Tibco Spotfire, Tableau, Excel

Databases: Oracle, Teradata

Web: HTML, JavaScrip

Manager Notes:

We need someone to come on board and work with the team to do end to end development extracting data and building dashboards from scratch.  Nothing in place now.  Will work 70% with members of the team and 30% with the business users...so this candidate needs to have great communication.  

Here are the most important skills required:

1.        Spotfire and Tableau.  Most people on his team know Tableau, so SPOTFIRE is the most important and required skill for building the dashboards. There should be ample verbiage of Spotfire dashboard in resumes.

 

2.        SAS/SQL and possibly Alteryx for extracting data to use for dashboards.  Alteryx is a "niche tool" not important to have just a plus.

Summary: Responsible for writing programs to maintain and control computer systems software for operating systems, networked systems, and database systems. Responsible for creating the software platform, and then fine-tuning the final program after it has been made. 

Experience:

·         Bachelor's degree/equivalent in computer science, MIS or related discipline

·         5+ years' experience in systems development and the skills/platform/environment requested by Client management

Skills and Competencies:

·         Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue

·         Skilled in one or more programming languages used by Client

·         Full working knowledge of an application development language /package, program design, application development methodology

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Gathers user requirements data in order to prepare functional specifications

·         Designs and transforms user requirements into an application program for a data processing system

·         Works on highly complex projects and provides technical direction. Participates in the total design of major software systems

·         Writes business/technical or design specifications/documentation
