Job Description:

Codes software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers. Standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and develops fixes. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 5years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude required. Typically reports to a project leader or manager.

 

Skills:

XFINITY On Campus (XoC) developer for the java server platforms that support the product. Partner Integration layer expansion and alignment is part of the scope of these activities. This will be an alignment with the overall scope of the X1 architecture. This will also include developing new features on the platform that will support cloud DVR for the XoC Product. This will allow new feature development for the PIL layer and student-facing features like cloud DVR.

The current team consists of 8 Java Developers and 1 UI developer.

• Design, develop and deliver a new Xfinity on Campus service provider architecture and Integrate with existing authentication and DRM providers (CIMA and ConSec)

• Enable customers to monitor the XoC solution

• Experience with streaming media and IP TV is a plus

Soft Skills:

• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as they will need to work with other teams including the design team to gather layouts and give feedback on what works, what doesn't, and provide other guidance as needed.

• Must be able to take ownership of assigned tasks and follow through to successful completion without a lot of oversight.

• Must have a positive "can-do" type of attitude and not be afraid to engage in the process.

Technical Skills:

5+ years of experience with UI development and experience with the following languages:

• HTML

• CSS

• JavaScript

• jQuery

• Angular.JS (plus)

• Node.JS (plus)
