Job Role: DevOps Architect
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: Long Term
Job Description:
The Technical Architect will join a highly visible team that will be supporting new web based technology stacks as part of a push to cloud environments. This role will:
· Create design documents that ensure consistency in development across the IT organization.
· Participate in the definition of software architecture to ensure that the IT organization's software solutions are built within a consistent framework and aligned to strategy.
· Implement activities that generally impact multiple components / processes and the work of own and possibly other teams.
· Assigned complex undertakings that regularly require the application of independent judgment.
· Receive work in short– and mid- term outcomes and operate within the context of approved methods.
· You will have a proven background in transforming, designing and building enterprise scale applications and tooling eco-systems with a strong understanding of automation principles across the enterprise stack and how to industrialize these at scale.
Architects have experience, or good awareness of :
· Front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS, JS, Angular and NodeJS
· Experience of having used the above technologies within a large enterprise setting and influenced positive change and ROI.
Methodologies & Frameworks:
· TOGAF – nice to have
· ITIL – nice to have
· Scrum, Kanban, SAFE, BCS Testing are highly desirable
Job Role: Lead DevOps Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: Long Term
Will be the GL team lead for this DevOps team onsite at WBA.
· Excellent communicative, interpersonal, intuitive, analysis and leadership skills with ability to work efficiently in both independent and team work environments.
· Experience with at least one of the following: Atlassian suite, HP ALM (i.e., Quality Center), Git with advanced functions, SVN, Vagrant, Chef, SharePoint, and Remedy.
· Experience with build tools, such as Bamboo, Jenkins, ant(+ivy), Maven, Gradle, Grunt.
· Experience working with at least one of the following technologies: Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Python, Perl.
· Experience with logging infrastructure and tools such as Log stash, Elastic search, Kibana, Graphite, Splunk, HDFS.
· Experience developing and delivering presentations to all levels of an organization.
· Experience supporting and troubleshooting relational databases and distributed platforms.
Requirements:
· 10+years of relevant experience
· Experience identifying the relationship of bugs to software code
· Experience developing design specifications, test plans and protocols
· Experience mentoring less experienced team members.
· Experience with programming languages (Python, Ruby)Knowledge of IT technologies.
· Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration (RHEL)
· Experience with automation/configuration management using either Chef an equivalent
· Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with Azure, Open Shift is a plus)
· Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL (nice to have is experience migrating from SQL to NoAQL)
· A working understanding of scripting languages such as PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby
· Experience with Atlassian tools like Bamboo, Jira, and confluence.
· Experience in using version control tools like Subversion (SVN), GIT, IBM ClearCase UCM and PVCS, it`s usage in enterprise solutions
· Experience as a Cloud DevOps Engineer.
· Knowledge on Open Shift and Docker.
· Experience with monitoring tools ELK Zabbix and container monitoring solutions.
· Extensively used build utilities like Maven, ANT for building of jar, war, bar and ear files, and building pipelines with Jenkins to connect the dots.

Similar to Senior DevOps Engineer with experience in enterprise mobile device management
Experience working with VMware Airwatch
Preferred Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics
