Position Description
In PBG IT, we are in the process of building some strategic infrastructure to support our next big product capability: International Lending. Per our Business forecasts, this initiative will significantly increase our Bank's revenue. To support this broad overarching initiative, the team is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join this technologically advanced team, focusing on innovation and delivery of critical business solutions. The candidate needs to be a self-starter, capable of solving problems and developing technology projects from start to finish. This includes design, coding and (Dev) testing.
Responsibilities:
1. Developing applications and services using Java and related technologies
2. Communicating with various teams within IT, both external & internal to PBG IT and defining & executing on technical solution
3. Participating in Scrum calls to ensure smooth software delivery
4. Maintaining and Documenting Architecture diagrams and Data Flows
5. Working with QA & ASG teams to enable them support the QA & Production phases of the application
Mandatory Skills:
1. 8-10+ years of hands on experience in Java (full stack) & related technologies including Spring & Hibernate
2. Angular 2.0 or higher
3. Experience working with Databases (preferably DB2) & knowledge of SQL
4. Understanding of Software design patterns especially related to Web Service development
5. Exposure to working on a global team
6. Analytical thinker / problem solver
7. Good interpersonal skills
8. Good communication skills
Desired Skills:
1. Experience with UI technologies/Angular
2. Shell scripting skills
3. Financial Industry knowledge
