Title: UX Designer

Location: Louisville, KY

Duration: 6+ Months

 

Technical/Functional Skills      

•              Serve as primary point of contact for all UX related activities associated with your work stream

•              Lead communication and collaboration between product owners and development team stakeholders to ensure alignment of UX deliverables 

•              Collaborate and build consensus with key stakeholders; always representing the user point of view, striking the balance between the ideal, and the realities of feasibility and delivery

•              Maintain deep understanding of the current experience, business objectives, audience(s), features, user feedback and insights, and best practices

•              Lead efforts to improve on new concepts, including usability testing and heuristic evaluations; Share findings and recommendations with project and business stakeholders and

•              Provide guidance on navigation, site architecture, data visualization, interaction design to ensure a seamless user experience

•              Lead creation of design sketches, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to inform feature development

•              Ensure that digital principles, standards, styles, design patterns, and renderings are followed and represented correctly

•              Ability to see the big picture and make good design decisions that may require trade-offs between business goals and design standards

•              Dedicated to envisioning and influencing the entire ecosystem in order to create a seamless holistic experience for users

•              Demonstrated ability to create designs that excite stakeholders just as much as users

•              Experience working with stakeholders to uncover functional, non-functional, data, usability and user experience requirements

•              Maturity required to set ego aside and seek-out design suggestions from all stakeholders

•              Passion for sharing information and helping others be successful

•              Focused on team success rather than individual success

Experience Required    

•              Experience as an Information Architect, User Experience Designer/Architect, User Interface Designer, or Interaction Designer

•              A portfolio that demonstrates the ability to strategically create compelling user experiences that factor in business goals, development capabilities, design standards and user needs

•              Strong understanding of interaction design principles and current global UI/design pattern standards

•              Ability to prioritize and stay focused on fewer, bigger, better, and faster

•              Experience designing with business, technical and design guideline constraints

•              Ability to adapt existing processes and deliverables when necessary to meet project needs and improve efficiency and quality

•              Demonstrated ability to work with and influence stakeholders to determine business strategy in the digital arena, develop and execute ideas while maintaining collaborative working relationships

•              Demonstrated ability to design complex user interfaces and dashboards for web experiences Experience creating conceptual models, site maps, interaction flows, design patterns, and UI specifications 

•              Demonstrated experience in defining research criteria, leading or participating in user research, and translating user research into design decisions

•              Experience creating interactive prototypes (e.g., Axure, Sketc, InVision, Adobe XD)

Education          

•              Bachelor's or higher in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), user experience, human factors, interaction design, or related field or equivalent experience

•              Blend of corporate and agency experience is a plus

•              Self-starter who can make significant progress with minimal guidance

•              Ability to be flexible in a very fluid and dynamic environment

•              Extremely well-organized and capable of handling multiple (and sometimes conflicting) priorities effectively

•              Excellent analytical and process-oriented skills

•              Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
