Job Title   :  Mainframe Tester
Location  :   Herndon, VA
Duration :   6-12 months Contract
Rate         : Open

Will be required to set up and execute QA testing for moderately complex financial applications in a data warehouse environment.

- 6+ years of software testing experience with Mainframes.
- Experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, Endeavor,VSAM and REXX.
- Experience with utilities like ISPF and TSO.
- Experience working with DB2.
- Ability to function independently and provide status and issue escalation to lead
- Ability to quickly absorb and understand system design, data model, and functional components of large software system
- Ability to mentor testers and answer technical questions and test strategy
- Strong problem solving with ability to analyze complex system requirements and define discreet test scenarios to provide full functional coverage
- Automated testing experience (WinRunner/QTP) is a plus
- Experience mocking test data to satisfy test scenarios required (mock data testing)
- Familiar with Quality Center, ClearQuest
- Experience with Ab Initio , Autosys and Remedy is a plus.
