EpicCare Ambulatory is a Plus

 •          Undertakes requirement gathering and data analysis

•          creates high-level and low-level specification documents for the Epic Data Warehouse (CSMG) project.  

•          Undertake data validation

•          Troubleshoots and identifies data-related problems, as requested by the Cedars-Sinai EIS manager

•          Creates quality documentation in a timely manner

•          Demonstrates aptitude to learn data models in depth, and to determine data structures/additions (views, distribution methods, intermediate tools) that would benefit the reporting environment as a whole

•          some experience with data modeling

 

Additional Comments in addition to the req::

•          Someone who has deep understanding of database schemas preferably star schema. Understands the concept of Fact tables and dimension tables.

•          Very strong in RDBMS. Do not send anyone who has bookish knowledge, he can survive the interview but will not be able to sustain the working jargon.

•          EPIC data familiarity will be a plus or someone who had worked as an EPIC analyst. (I will send out few documents to read on EPIC once I will be at home, can't do that from office).

•          Data warehouse ETL documentation, mapping and transformation documents is necessary

•          Data Analysis, searching the database for correct source of data. In Nutshell a person who is crazy enough to look in database for hours.

•          No as such Operating System requirement. Just normal windows will do, other OS will be just ornaments in resume.

•          Tools necessary: TOAD or any SQL query editor. Visio may be required. Any data modeling tool like ERWIN or Oracle Designer (we use Oracle Designer), may be asked to do little modeling at work but definitely someone who has understanding of how to work with such a tool to browse a database model. Word, excel knowledge, good at documentation and produce nice and clean documents well formatted.

•          little bit of ETL development information will be helpful but it is not at all a necessity.

•          No reporting experience needed.
