Description
In this position, you will be responsible for designing printed circuit boards with Intel silicon along with other vendor silicon, as part of a complete audio and/or video solution to our customers. These projects range from full sized main boards which include video, audio, RF tuner, wireless LAN, and other subsections, to small single purpose daughter cards. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Working closely with the consumer electronics silicon design team to design platforms for testing
Designing, testing, and debugging digital, analog, and RF based circuits
Responsible for package ballout definition and routing studies
Interfacing with the design teams in other divisions and the silicon vendors
Debugging and evaluating motherboard and/or circuit problems
Creating schematics and directing printed circuit board layout with a Computer Aided Design (CAD) Engineer
Qualifications
You should possess a Bachelor or a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Additional qualifications include:
Experience with RF (Radio Frequency) circuit design and communications is a hard requirement. Preferably in the Cable TV industry but will consider other RF design experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with design and/or evaluation and/or manufacturing engineers, customers, technical marketing engineers, material planners and program managers
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Knowledge and experience in schematic capture, printed circuit board layout, and typical lab tools
Experience with Allegro* and Cadence* design tools
Some experience in Perl would be an added advantage
