DIRECT CLIENT: COGNOS REQUIREMENT

Exp Level:                   7 - 8 + Years

Location:                    Thousand Oaks, CA

Rate:                            $40 - $45/hr (All inclusive) on 3 months CTH Basis (non negotiable rates)

No hidden layers

Telephonic Interviews

High priority

Total experience must cross 7+ years

Must be a lead in atleast one project

 

Must Have Skills:

• Cognos Series 7(Power Play, Transformer), Cognos ReportNet, Cognos 8.2 or Higher
• Oracle SQL, SQL Server Database Querying
• Should be able to independently work as Technical Lead (Requirements Gathering, Onsite/Offshore Coordination, BI Reports Development)
• Good Communication and Client Facing Skills

 

Desired Skills:

• Exposure to any other Reporting Tool (Business Objects, Brio, SpotFire, etc)
• Database Query Performance Tuning
• Exposure to ETL Tools (Informatica, TeraData)
• Experience with DataFlux Tool

 

Job Roles / Responsibilities:

• Analyze the supplemental service request and prioritize the work request with the client
• Provide the effort estimate to the client and drive for the results to complete the request on time.
• Develop Reports based on the Business Requirement Specification
• Interact with the Technical Lead, BA from the project Team to update the project status
• Coordinate with the offshore team for all the supplemental project work (like development, enhancement and Bug Fixing).
• Review the deliverables, Prepare Design, installation document
• Update the client on the number of requests being handled on weekly basis and re-prioritize the work (if required)
