GENERAL INFORMATION:

Position: Lead Cognos Developer

Duration: 9 mo contract to HIRE---

Visa: MUST BE GREEN CARD, US CITIZEN OR EAD

Location: Downtown, Atlanta

Pay rate: Pay up to 65/hr (AL Inclusive)on 1099 (NON negotiable)

Going perm at 107K + 15% Bonus

Start Date:    April 26, 2010

MANDATORY SKILLS:

Software development/IT experience (10+ years).

Cognos report design experience (5+ years),

FM Model Development experience (5+ years),

excellent communication and interpersonal skills,

Metrics Studio experience (1+ years),

GO Dashboard (1+ years),

Cognos SDK experience a plus.

It is preferred that this person is a Certified Cognos Professional.

Considered a professional expert on the technology and tools (Cognos) of the Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (BICE), this person ensures correct technical architecture of new BI solutions, conducts consulting engagements with current lines-of-business to review technical specifications, maintains metadata standards, and technical designs.  This position is responsible for planning overall architecture of the reporting/business intelligence solution, including performance considerations, multi-tiered structures, and proofs-of-concepts of new technology initiatives.  As a technical leader, this position provides technical training, guidance, and mentorship to other developers.

 

Job Duties:

1.       The Technical Lead is responsible for the design review and best practice code review of the FM Models, Reports, and Dashboards according to the business and functional requirements.

2.       Lead architect on Cognos projects.

3.       Technical lead on defining business requirements.

4.       Contribute in the Requirements Definition and System Design phases.

5.       Subsequent to System Design, the technical lead will be responsible for reviewing the report code after creation; peer reviews, technical reviews, and lessons-learned.

6.       This person will do so in coordination with LOB production support resources for transfer knowledge.

7.       Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
