Local role here in Lowell Ma for a Telecom client  contract 6 months

Locals or at driving distance preferred, phone hire so may consider good candidates from around East/ Central as well.

Bill rate cap $42/hr- on C2C

Digital Video Solutions group in the Telecom client's Home Business. This department is responsible for the development and delivery of media center software for Digital Set Top Boxes (STB) including whole home DVR.

Scope:

Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to work on a team of engineers testing a consumer electronic media center product.

· Candidate is expected to have a history of testing and delivering consumer-facing products
· Must have self initiative, be able to work in a fast paced environment and work flexible hours as required
· Candidate will be responsible for test design, implementation and execution

Specific Knowledge/Skills:

· 5+ years with software quality assurance
· Previous experience with automated and manual testing of consumer products
· The candidate must be adaptable, flexible and willing to take on new challenges
· The candidate must be a team player, and must be able to work with multiple engineering and cross-functional teams.

Additional Desirable Skills

· Experience with products running the Linux OS
· Java test development experience preferred
· Experience with Digital Set Top boxes
