We require a Database Administrators to install, maintain and
administer mission-critical, leading-edge databases for the Macquarie
Group of companies. Platforms support required for Sybase, Oracle and
MS SQL. In this role responsibilities will include:
administration of Database servers and installations of new servers
Integration of Database servers from acquired Company into Macquarie's
Database environment
ensuring optimum performance and availability of Database systems
ensuring backups and validity of data structures
controlling security and access to Database systems
ongoing upgrade and maintenance of database versioning
development and design consulting to ITG Account Team and business
users
DR planning and testing
operating within Service Support and Service Delivery framework for
DBA team (i.e. ITIL procedures for Change Control)
Have strong, continuous DBA experience administering Sybase databases
and at least 5 years in MS-SQL
Remedy trouble-ticketing system
Solaris and Windows operating systems
MS-SQL
Veritas Clustering and replication products
Legato Networker backup solution
EMC Storage systems
ITIL practices
Scripting, in Perl and Shell
Sybase replication server
Sybase ASIQ
