Opportunity as a Data Architect

Location: New York City, NY

Employment: 1 Year

 

Experience: 8+ years

 

Responsibilities

v  Data modeling, logical to physical transformation

v  Responsible for designing/implementing/maintaining the data warehouse for tickets.com

v  Propose and implement the best strategy for data-mart such as Materialized view, Partitioning etc.

v  Understand the tickets domain and design a generic data-mart which will be used by other components such as invoicing, auditing.

v  Short term delivery / reporting data-mart.

 

 Qualifications include:

v  Comprehensive knowledge of Oracle, SQL and PL/SQL

v  Understand data warehousing concepts aggregation, data mart and has prior experience of implementing data ware housing solutions.

v  Experience working with large data set and large monolithic databases.

v  At least 6-10 years of experience working with databases.

v  Strong knowledge of ETL processes and best practices

v  Strong Query Tuning skills

v  2-3 years experience in automating Archive/purge

v  Knowledge of column based databases a plus

v  Experience in Oracle partitioning technologies

v  Good oral and written skills - ability to communicate effectively to the customer.
