Location: Jacksonville, FL
Duration: 1 Year+
Start Date: ASAP
Required Skills:
· Knowledge of Cognos 8 Business Intelligence products including Framework Manager, Query Studio, Report Studio, Analysis Studio and Cognos 7 Impromptu, or equivalent Business Intelligence tools.
· Strong SQL query skills.
· Strong data analysis and report writing skills.
· Relational and Star Schema / Dimensional database modeling and design skills.
· Data warehouse experience
· Ability to be flexible and work within a team environment.
· Ability to effectively communicate in non-technical terms with business unit management and end users for information and reporting delivery solutions.
· Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
· Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field
· Four years of related experience can substitute for the degree
· 4 years experience in substitution of degree would include:
· Data Warehouse projects from design through production support.
· SQL Development and Report Writing experience.
· SQL Server 2000 / 2005, DB2, Oracle or a comparable relational database.
Preferred:
· Insurance related information delivery experience.
· Property & Casualty insurance experience.
· 2 years experience with Cognos Business Intelligence Reporting and OLAP tools.
· Experience with Star Schemas and Dimensional Modeling.
· Cognos Administration knowledge and skills.
