Linux Test Engineer: (Phone Hire)

Location: Waukesha, WI (Milwaukee suburb)

Rate: $42/hr C2C

Duration: 6+ months

 

Linux Test Engineer:

 

Formal and informal testing experience in an industry environment.

•           Ability to develop, executes, and document stress and reliability tests under the direction of a platform Architect.

•           Experience in Linux installation, configuration, development, and tools (SUSE)

•           Demonstrated proficiency in scripting (Linux/Unix shell, perl)

•           Excellent communication skills including oral and written reports.

•           Excellent problem solving skills

 

Desired Skills:

 

•           Experience building Linux kernels and drivers

•           Network install and familiarity with autoyast based remote install and nested scripts

•           Clearcase

•           Imake-based build tools

•           Server management interfacing (IPMI or equivalent)

 

 

Note: The client is not seeking a QA/ quality test engineer or Linux admin.  Candidates must be familiar with Linux Development.
