12-18 month contract

 

Leads the development and implementation of highly complex internet and intranet application frameworks (for example, batch framework, automated volume testing framework, services testing framework, and batch metrics monitoring) used by multiple financial services platforms. Evaluates systems specifications and designs and implements the most efficient software/package solution using advanced knowledge of internet technologies. Researches and tracks new web technologies, develops shared service applications, and analyzes business requirements as they pertain to shared internet services and application infrastructure. Responsible for system quality assurance and consistency with installation and security policy and standards. May provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff. May provide 3rd level production on-call support.

 

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years experience in server-side Java development with J2SE and J2EE experience

•5+ years experience in Oracle PL/SQL development with demonstrated experience in Oracle 9i/Oracle 10g

•Bachelor Degree in Computer Sciences or other technical discipline

• Scripting with Perl, Ant, C-Shell or Korn Shell

• Solaris 10

• Batch job and database performance tuning and management

• High-volume transaction processing

• Financial payment systems background

• Weblogic 10

• Oracle database management and design

• AutoSys

• TOAD

• Testing (unit, volume, integration, regression) and test planning

• JUnit

• ClearCase / ClearQuest

• Ant, Maven, Archive, Anthill Pro, N1

• NDM (Network data mover)

• Hibernate for data generation

• RUP (Rational Unified Process) methodology

• IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse

• All phases of the software development life cycle

• Good communication skills and ability to act as a team player

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• XML

• MQ

• Fortify security code review tool

• Application production support

• Tomcat

• Websphere

• Technical writing and documentation
