Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Computer Programmer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in transforming the future of technology and public health. This position will be located in Atlanta, GA. This position is a temporary 3 – 6 month assignment. The qualified candidate will serve as the Internet/Intranet technical point of contact for the National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHHSTP) and the Division of Tuberculosis Elimination (DTBE). The candidate provides support for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the TB Internet/Intranet Websites. The ideal candidate will support updating documents and ensuring Section 508 compliance. Learn how the web team operates and learn CDC web standards and policies. Learn and work within the constraints and restrictions of OMB's rules and regulations and CDC's web template. Experience with DreamWeaver, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Omniture, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Photoshop is required. To accomplish this, the candidate collaborates extensively with the Communications, Education, and Behavioral Studies Branch (CEBSB) personnel, the other DTEB webmaster and the NCHHSTP technical staff.

 

 Required Skills:

 

Candidate must have a minimum of 6 years web design and development experience with HTML/CSS/Dreamweaver.
Candidate must have a minimum of 6 years experience in converting documents from MS Word/Excel into 508 compliant HTML or Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format.
Candidate must have a minimum of 6 years experience in Website maintenance.
Candidate must have the ability to work in Adobe Photoshop to develop graphics for the web.
Candidate ensures consistency with CDC Intranet/Internet design specifications and 508 compliance.
Experience analyzing web metrics using Omniture on a weekly and monthly basis and presenting findings to CEBSB.
Must have CDC knowledge and experience.

 

 Additional Desired Skills/Pluses:

 

Knowledge and experience with User Centered Design, User Testing methodologies, Information Architecture, Information Design, Human Factors, etc.
Knowledge and experience with online training tools such as Lectora.
Strong organization, time management and communication skills preferred.
Must be a team player, self motivated, self starter and a quick learner.
Excellent understanding of Web best practices.
Highly effective problem solver with an excellent work ethic.
Strong communication (verbal, written, listening, and presentation) skills.
Strong customer service orientation.

 

 Educational Requirements:

 

BS/BA required, MS/MA desired, [Major: Computer Science/Information Systems/Management Information Systems]
10+ Years of experience in lieu of degree.
