Omaha, NE

6 Months+

Rate - Best possible but please remember this is Omaha and we can't submit at NY rates!

 

There will be an initial phone interview but an in person interview is 100% required after - we do not cover expenses for interviews.

 

Skills: 5-10 years Project Management, Release Management, RUP/Agile required, software acquisition and development.

 

Responsibilities:
* Deliver the planned results of one or more specific projects within specified time, budget, quality, scope, and benefits. Manage changes to above
* The project manager is responsible for employing the iterative development process to build and deliver a solution
* Champions iterative development values and ensures the highest possible team productivity
* Plan activities, resources, suppliers, and timelines necessary to deliver the prioritized scope
* Forecast planned costs and track actual costs, including internal ETG labor, consultants, hardware, software, etc. Coordinate with ETG Budget Director
* Identify, document, and report issues/impediments that are disrupting plan achievement. Weekly escalation at WRAM is required
* Manage and communicate changes to the project plan and/or the project team. Escalate all issues to WRAM via weekly reporting
* Take the initiative to resolve and manage project issues and risks
* Identify key risks and provide mitigation for each
* Articulate and gain agreement on project deliverables and planned results; ensures the definition of done is agreed to and understood
* Communicate to all stakeholders the plan, roles/responsibilities, and ensure the highest possible level of quality to meet business needs. Keep stakeholders current on status and changes
* Identify, communicate, and track planned business benefits; tracking back to business case
* Coordinate project communications with the ETG Service Delivery Director
* Provide monthly performance input on each team member to the Resource Coordinator and participate as required in performance feedback and review meetings. The PM must be able to provide daily performance coaching and mentoring to project team members as required
* Handles conflict professionally and diffuse emotional discussion and facilitate focus on business issues, facts, and data

* Strong leadership, management, and communication ability
* Conflict resolution
* Ability to lead, motivate, and direct a workgroup
* Strong negotiator and influencer
* A flexible team player with a proven ability to work successfully in a matrix reporting environment
* Collaborative, professional, trustworthy, and able to energize others
* Able to execute and make tough decisions for the benefit of the project
* Able to orchestrate and deliver solutions that meet business and project needs

Experiences:
* Minimum of 5-10 years Project Management experience desired
* Experience with software acquisition and development
* Insurance Company or relevant technical experience highly desired
* Experience with iterative software development methodologies; RUP/Agile required
* Understanding of vendor management system is a huge plus
* Must be a *take charge* Project Manager
* Will manage a team of 15
