PROJECT MANAGER WITH PROPERTY & CASUALTY EXP:

 

Manage large complex program of work consisting of multiple projects led by project managers in support of a major business transformation initiative. May also be responsible to lead a project within the program. Travel may be required to other U.S. office locations at 10%.Requirements:

Must have P& C insurance industry experience, with an understanding of the management of independent agents.

Must have business process re-engineering and change management experience.

 

Over 10 years project management experience, including over 5 years managing major programs over $5M, demonstrating the following skills:

- Engage internal business clients to understand their business objectives and structure them into a program of defined projects.

- Establish positive working relationships with executive level customers, stakeholders, project managers, and team members

- Lead a team of project managers to deliver business and technical objectives in each project on-time and within budget

- Act as a problem solver and engage stakeholders to drive decisions for the program and assist the project managers working the projects within the program.

- Develop and gain agreement with stakeholders on the combined program schedule and budget.

- Follow established project management practices including management of scope, requirements, issues, and risks.

- Create MS Project schedule and utilize the schedule to communicate and manage the work.

- Manage program budget and maintain ongoing cost benefit analysis

- Monitor the program to ensure that it aligns with the business strategy and achieves the business benefits.

- Report status, issues and risks according to PMO processes and schedule

- Ensure that all required project deliverables are created and kept up to date

- Represent the program for governance gate approvals and any change requests.

- Collaborate with other project and program managers to manage project interdependencies.

- Knowledge of Visio and PowerPoint
