RATE:$45/-C2C OR 1099 ALL INCL

QA ANALYST WITH QTP, UNIX, SQL SCRIPTS,

SHOULD HAVE ETL / DWH TOO

 

This position is responsible for conducting test planning and execution for manual, automated and performance testing.  The position is part of a team responsible for testing of all solutions but will be focused primarily on testing of the enterprise data warehouse and reporting solutions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

   1. Perform full test process for enterprise data warehouse and reporting solutions.  This includes manual, automated, performance testing and data validation

   2. Design test strategies and test plans for projects. Work with project teams to obtain approval

   3. Develop detailed test cases and work with business analysts to understand solution requirements

   4. Create automated functional and performance test scripts

   5. Execute all functional and performance tests according to test plans and cases, document results, and quickly identify and assist in troubleshooting issues

   6. Work closely with project teams to provide testing timelines for test planning and execution

   7. Provide input to improve test team policies, procedures and offerings

 

Qualifications:

 

   : 5+ years experience in manual and automated Quality Assurance testing

   : Proven expertise and experience in testing data warehouse and reporting solutions. Expertise in analyzing and validating data from multiple sources to target

   : Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts

   : Deep understanding and experience in standard testing methodologies

   : Expert-level, hands-on experience with automated test tools

   : Expert level, hands-on experience in the use of automated performance testing tools.

   : Hand on experience in writing sql queries and shell scripts

   : Ability to communicate with the infrastructure team to recommend alternative solutions for addressing bottlenecks

   : Insurance/Reinsurance industry experience and knowledge with an understanding of the terminology, business functions and processes is strongly preferred

   : Experience with VSTS performance testing and defect management is preferred

   : Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

   : Strong interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills

   : Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

   : Personal time management skills and ability to meet individual deadlines
