Position:  C# Position/Mobile device programmer (Windows CE)

Location:  Amarillo, TX

Duration:  Long Term

Skills Required:

• C++ or C# programming required
• .NET experience required
• .NET CF and Open Net CF experience preferred
• SQL database experience required
• Windows CE / Mobile programming experience preferred
• SQL mobile database experience preferred
• Knowledge of cell phone network technology preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot urgent issues in a quick and professional manner
• Good technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation
• Good analytical and design skills at multiple application level
• Good skills in research and analysis, project planning and implementation
• Good understanding of entire development processes that are used from beginning to end, including specification, documentation and quality assurance
• Awareness of business issues as they impact overall project plans
• General understanding of object oriented design patterns and/or iSeries application design principles

 

DUTIES AND TASKS:

Seeks minimum guidance on the following tasks

• Communicate with the user(s) regarding their computer application needs and be responsible for support and enhancements of active systems
• Independently develop computer applications involving moderately complex batch and interactive processes
• Perform moderately complex systems analysis and development activities on applications software, which may require some research
• Provide support for the resolution of production problems
• Perform moderately complex bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned tasks
• Research problems discovered by QA
• Research and understand the requirements for an application, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues
• Research new technology or development tools to remain informed of current technology
• Develop solutions to the problems
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
