Location: Southfield, MI
Duration : 3 Months (with possible extension)
15%: Client interfacing - change requirement review, weekly meetings, operations review - performance of tickets/service requests/change requests, forward schedule planning
50%: Coordination for delivery of services from offshore technical staff - operational changes, break/fixes, minor enhancements, incident management and Cognos technical leadership
10%: Reporting on SLA's, monthly summary reports etc.
10%: Technical review or design for changes and break/fixes
15%: Recommend and manage implementation of improvements to web architecture, code, environment, security standards etc.
Specialized/Practical Knowledge: Experienced in Cognos Reporting, upgrades, data modeling, system configuration, and report development . Working knowledge of Cognos ReportNet and Cognos v8 and or v10. Experienced in Java development , Unix , scripting, and PL/SQL use with Oracle databases.
Management Skill: Indirect supervision of individuals will be required to remotely manage a team of resources and coordinate across different time zones for a complex system
Interaction: Very strong interpersonal skills with patience to deal with business clients and technical team in different countries while interacting with other system leads.
Complexity/Problem Solving: Candidate should have strong technical background and superior organizational skills to manage multiple technical issues at the same time. A strong problem solving background with ability to organize team approach to resolution.
Accountability: Self starter, pro-active, owner of the application required
