Responsibilities
Oversee database engineers and database- administrators to support and deliver the flip-flop acceptance solution.
- Provide engineering support – install/configure various Oracle technologies such as Oracle Streams, Oracle Change Data Capture (CDC), Oracle PLSQL and Oracle utilities.
Document and validate the testing of the flip-flop solution-
Provide periodic status reporting to management and key stakeholders-
- Proactively identify future areas of opportunity to improve data management components in the BioArch R2 project.
Be part of the team that will to- plan, develop, design, and implement new elements of IT infrastructure needed for the blood bank application; the team will include IT architects, ITIL process owners, and service delivery teams.
Ensure the IT infrastructure,- systems and processes meet quality management and FDA standards.
- Participate in the service restoration and root cause analysis/corrective action processes.
Aggressively pursue cost savings opportunities through improved- design and operations.
Work- closely with the Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Team to plan, test and implement the business continuity process
Demonstrate capability in the- following Red Cross IT core competencies: strategic thinking, planning, process management (e.g., ITIL, Six Sigma), business acumen, drive for results, conflict management, innovation and change, developing direct reports, and teamwork and relationship building.
