BMC Remedy Senior Consultant

Oklahoma City, OK

Contract

 

Candidate should have experience in ITSM Modules extracting detailed customer requirements and implementing those requirements within BMC Remedy 7.6+.  The consultant will also have the aptitude to lend technical assistance during the analysis, design, and implementation of BMC Remedy Service Management applications, for medium to large enterprise clients.   The candidate must have experience and knowledge in deploying core functionality in and out of box BMC Remedy ITSM system; this includes the ability to install the system on multiple server platforms and databases. The characteristics of this position include: a working command of technology and architectural concepts; the ability to perform an analysis of client processes; ability to document and develop workflows for system functionality and customization.  The successful candidate will work as part of a team on client engagements with some direct supervision.

 

Key Qualifications:

• Development experience with BMC Remedy ITSM version 7.6+ on multiple platforms.
• Development experience with BMC Atrium CMDB version 7.6+ and experience integrating Atrium CMDB with multiple federated data sources utilizing the Atrium Integration Engine (AIE) and Webservices.
• Extensive development experience in integrating BMC Remedy ITSM suite with other enterprise applications (like PeopleSoft, Oracle ERP, Monitoring tool etc)
• Able to provide application support for the configuration, customization, and administration of the Remedy ITSM application in close coordination with the customer staff.
• Experience extracting customer/business requirements and developing implementation strategy for ITSM solution.
• Solid working knowledge of Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration (CMDB) Management process principles, relationships, and metrics.
• BMC Remedy IT Service Management Suite experience on following  ITSM modules, such as:
• BMC Remedy Change Management
• BMC Remedy Atrium CMDB
• BMC Remedy Service Desk (Incident and Problem)
• BMC Remedy Asset Management
• BMC Remedy Service Level Management
• Able to communicate with client management and staff to integrate the client's business objectives, current technical infrastructure, and state of the art technologies into enterprise-wide solutions.
• Work location is near Oklahoma City, OK.  Consultant must be local or willing to travel 75%.

 

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related MIS field preferred.
• Minimum of 7+ years of hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and customizing BMC Remedy ARS / ITSM systems.
• Minimum of 4 years of Atrium CMDB implementation experience desired.
• A high degree of interpersonal skill in working with various levels of technical and business oriented individuals.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with BMC and non-BMC automation platforms (Microsoft System Center Orchestrator, MS SCCM, BMC ADDM, Netcool) highly desired.
• Familiarity with or ITIL® certifications preferred.
• Experience and a good working knowledge of the UNIX/Linux operating system is a plus
• Experience with Java and XML is a plus.
• Prior experience in a consulting environment is preferred.
