New Title: Sr DBA / DATABASE ARCHITECT
Duration: 1 yr plus
Location: Nashville, TN
Required Skills:
8 years IT experience
5 years extensive DBA / Database Architecture experience
Must have experience with Database design – will be the SME (subject matter expert) for all Databases
Responsible for the strategy, design and implementation of all Database related components in a dual data center environment.
Responsible for the research, planning and development of all technical design documentation as well as providing oversight and coordination for all Database related implementations and research projects.
Extensive Replication experience is a must. This is probably one of the most important requirements.
Ability to function as an expert Technical Advisor on Database related topics including backup, replication, High Availability, Disaster Recovery etc.
Ability to create detailed systems architecture and build book documentation for new applications.
3-5 years current experience / expert knowledge in both Oracle and SQL database technologies.
3-5 years current experience supporting large relational databases in enterprise class environments housing over 15TB of data.
3-5 years current experience with multiple backup and Disaster Recovery methods related to databases. This should include SAN based storage replication as well as RMAN and others.
DB2 DBA experience is a plus
