Title            Aix/UNIX Admin

Location:    Westborough, MA

Duration:    6 Months contract

 

·         IBM AIX, HP HP-UX,  Korn Shell, Veritas Storage Foundations Suite, Veritas Cluster Services, EMC Storage, HP Data protector, Perl, PowerVM

·         Advanced knowledge with the AIX operating system, Knowledge of HP-UX a strong plus.

·         Experience with specifying and deploying IBM P-Series hardware.

·         7 - 10 years of experience as a System Administrator

·         Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required

·         Linux (Red Hat) knowledge a plus. 

·         Strong Scripting and programming skills (shell, awk, perl, python)

·         Understanding of Project management methodologies

·         Strong understanding and experience with IBM PowerVM technologies.

·         Experience in developing scalable policies and procedures, including system standards, capacity planning, and centralized management

·         Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills

·         Effective written and verbal communication skills

·         Experience in IBM 7 series systems
