Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this position is to drive the business intelligence initiative to

support the business strategies of the client. This position will participate in the process for

shaping business intelligence solutions and advocate the benefits of the strategy to the business

and development teams. Additionally, the role will assist development and technical services

teams in architecting and standardizing business intelligence approach and systems.

-Establishing standards for BI strategy and BI meta-data life cycle, to be used across the

organization

-Developing standards, usage guidelines and procedures for BI tools

-Working closely with end user and business analysts to define and analyze business

requirements and effectively integrate them into a BI solution.

-Developing BI data management methodology, standards and best practices in regards to

business intelligence and educate both technology and business users throughout the company

-Acting as a subject matter expert for Wegmans Data and systems environment by;

understanding of client data and how it is used by the business, understanding of the systems

within the environment and their interrelationships, understanding of key stakeholders

-Creating, and maintaining and championing the use of appropriate standards, processes and

tools to promote and facilitate mapping of data to BI sources and interfaces

-Establishing measurements and processes to chart and assess progress related to completeness

and quality of BI information, support reduction of data redundancy and fragmentation, eliminate

of unnecessary data, and improve data quality

-Translating business needs and requirements into reports, view, dimensions and other BI

specific objects.

-Installing, configuring, deploying, tuning and troubleshooting BI tools and servers

-Creating and maintaining the BI meta-data repository

-Creating and maintaining BI Ownership documentation

-Developing BI applications
