SKILL :

This resource will participate in architecture of Red Hat Linux systems and storage, performance tuning, security and compliance, and leading other engineers in a low latency trading environment.  

1. 10+ years Red Hat Linux currently senior-level Engineer/architect experience

2. Client wants candidate to be a Red Hat certified engineer - if otherwise senior-level we wold consider

3. Senior Red Hat Linux experience in big / global environment.

4. Some SAN / Cisco experience as a Senior Red Hat Linux Engineer (not Admin) a solid positive

5. Financial/investment sector a definite plus


Responsibility included and not limited to the following:

·     Low latency tuning and improvement

·     Tier 1 storage and Storage Area Network (SAN) design, rollout, and support

·     Next generation CPU and NIC evaluation and benchmark

·     Evaluation of new technology to improve operation efficiency

·     Monitor and support for all environments including production, corporate, QA, development, staging and disaster recovery

·     Working with development, network, database operation, and other teams to develop solutions to address business requirements.

·     Install and configure all aspect of systems and services

·     Perforce security assessment and systems hardening

·     Provide off hours support and maintenance
