Senior Performance Engineer – Boston, MA- 6+ months

 

Qualifications:

 

·         5+ years of Performance Testing and SDLC experience

·         Extensive experience with load and performance testing tools such as LoadRunner and/or JMeter

·         Experience with monitoring and analyzing server performance counters

·         Preferred but not required; Fiddler, SoapSonar, Quality Center

·         Detail oriented, demonstrates discipline and analytical problem solving skills

·         Programming skills in Java and .Net

·         Knowledge on Weblogic, SOA, AJAX, Web 2.0

·         Operating system knowledge base with a focus on Windows operating systems and VMWare

·         Knowledge on MSSQL databases

·         Expert experience or knowledge required in the following; QA process, documentation, and testing

·         Able to estimate task durations and meet commitments in an Agile software development environment

·         Understanding internet, application data flow and web server processes

·         Ability to actively seek and learn new skills and knowledge to keep up with changing technology

·         Ability to think outside the box, adapt to circumstances, learn from co-workers, and share information experiences

·         Ability to be flexible and adapt to any given situation

·         Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently

·         Excellent customer service attitude, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills

·         Excellent organizational and time management skills

·         Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

·         Ability to make timely and sound decisions

·         Detail oriented

·         Ability to work independently and in a team based environment

·         Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment

·         Ability to work under pressure and in high stress situations

·         Ability to be self-motivated

·         Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team environment

·         Excellent verbal and written communications skills

 

Education and/or Experience:

 

High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred with five (5) years or more performance testing experience or equivalent education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
