Role

L3 Oracle DBA

Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills

Installing Oracle database software and tools, security patches, RMAN, and grid control as well as the ability to automate tasks with SQL, UNIX shell or Perl scripting.
Experienced on Solaris, Linux and AIX OS including strong shell scripting skills.
Willingness to work in a 24 * 7 Global support model
Responsible for capacity, availability, performance and security for all Oracle environments and monitoring the environments for the same on an on-going basis
Excellent SQL & database Level performance tuning skills
Expertise in backup and recovery and migration using RMAN, datapump and export/import.
Good Working experience of Installation & administration of RAC 9i, 10g and 11g (Real Application Clusters).
Management of Advanced Replication technology GoldenGate.
Solid infrastructure knowledge including high-availability solutions such as Oracle DataGuard and Goldengate
Installation/configuration and upgrade of Golden Gate. Able to configure replication through GoldenGate.
Troubleshooing of out of sync and lag issue in Goldengate environment.
Adding new objects in existing goldengate environment.
Recommending Capacity Management(Growth) for DB tracks.
Recommending Database Security Policy.
Good Working experience in migration and movement of RAC databases from one storage to another storage.
Experienced in maintenance and management of databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control.
Monitors Oracle space usage and database performance
Performs database reorganizations as necessary
Configure, manage and monitor all Oracle environments on Windows/Solaris/Linux and AIX
Script and automate maintenance and monitoring jobs on Solaris/Linux and AIX environments
Monitoring of scheduled backups through script .If backup failed then we raise this with concern team.
Do Performance tuning in OLAP environment Provide and Setup High Availability solutions.
Future Release management for database/instance and Impact Analysis.
Advance Database Performace Tuning – Tuning Applications,Instance/Kernel Parameters and Tuning Memory.
Usage of AWR and ADDM, translate this and suggest the improvement based on this
Recommend and Review Backup and Recovery Strategies using RMAN or tools.
Database reorganization and new database configuration activity.
Good hands on in Database migrations & transformations tasks

Desirable Technical / Functional Skills

Assist in the Enterprise Infrastructure strategy, approach, standards and procedures to ensure alignment with WHG standards and strategic technology decisions.
Provide Disaster Recovery Plan support.
Participate in an on-call rotation 24X7.

Total experience in required skill (years)

6+ years

Pay Rate per hour (payable to vendor)
