~~ Technical Recruiters Network ~~ Very Urgent Requirement for Datastage developer with Teradata exp

Duration: 6+  months
Location: Oak Brook, IL

 

Note: Please submit candidates only if they are willing to work in Support projects and as a team leader.

 

 

Technical Skills: Overall 4 to 5 years experience in ETL and Reporting with following skills

·         4 years experience in ETL using Data Stage version 8.X in development and Support and maintenance projects

·         3 years experience in Tera Data database

·         Experience in Unix is desirable

·         Knowledge in area of BI reporting using Microstrategy with One year experience in Microstrategy (Nice to have)

·         Data Quality tools like Dataflux, Trillium (Nice To Have)

 

Job Responsibilities include following

·         ETL job monitoring and support for large ETL Data Stage application

·         Monitor support email for abends, ensure timely kick-off and completion of jobs as per schedule

·         Restarting data loads on failure and ensuring data is loaded in DWH

·         Data cleanup (if required) in DWH on load failure

·         Support special runs or on-demand runs

·         Reject file monitoring and reporting

·         Fix data problems (e.g. Deleting error record from file based on confirmation from source) or escalate / divert to the correct support groups like Source system Support, SMEs.

·         Coordinate with support groups like DBAs, Server administrators, ACS for fixing issues related to Database or Infrastructure

·         Coordinate with offshore team for Production Support and Maintenance project

·         Involve in development of enhancements, testing of fixes and changes and new requests for the ETL application
