This is our direct-client opening for a Cisco UC (Unified Communications) Engineer for a 6+ month contract located in Los Angeles, CA. The hourly rate depends on experience and candidates from all over the country will be accepted as long as you can relocate at your own cost for this contract.

 

An individual with at least 5 years of Unified Communications Experience capable of building a unified Cisco Video & Unified Communications environment comprised of Jabber (tablet & desktop) clients, Tandberg & Teleprescence end points (modern & classic) as well as interfacing these systems together in a global environment.

 

Responsible for managing the video dial plan of all end points within the United States, as well as upgrading and managing the backend systems (VCS, TMS, Codian) that support those end points.

 

Skills/Knowledge:

 

Tandberg and Telepresence Endpoints

Codian MCU 8510 Bridge Equipment

Cisco VCS & TMS

Cisco CUPS Server

Cisco Call Manager for Video (8.X & 9.X)

Cisco Jabber for Desktop & Tablet devices

Work with integrating multiple Jabber sites together (ie Federation).

Capable of setting up relations and video routing between different video bridges in other locations.

Experience with Cos & Qos configurations for optimum voice & video quality.

Experience setting up Webex and other Jabber support services plus.
