Position Description: - The Client is seeking one (1) SAS expert who meets all of the following “Minimum Qualifications”.
- Candidate(s) will be interviewed and selected to serve as a SAS expert responsible for SAS Enterprise Intelligence Suite for
- Qualifications must be clearly stated on the candidate’s resume and verifiable via reference checks.
- Knowledge and proficiencies claimed by the candidate must be clearly indicated on actual work experiences listed in the resume.
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience with SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence platform
- Experience in modeling SAS data stores (SAS OLAP / SAS MOLAP Cubes) required to support business intelligence and reporting needs
- Experience with Decision Support System architecture and tools
- Experience with Analytics and Reports/ SAS Dashboards
- Experience in designing and building solutions using –
- SAS Information Delivery Portal
- SAS OLAP Cube Studio
- SAS Web Reports Studio
- SAS Enterprise Guide and BASE SAS programming
- Experience in Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
- Experience in IT planning for SAS BI environment
- Experience with configuration/customization of SAS Tools highly preferred
- Experience with SAS Data Mining tool preferred
- Experience in an Education environment desirable
- Knowledge of SAS Management Console
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Project
- Candidate must be a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities - Validate and Refine our SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence platform implementation
- Assist in configuring Web Reports Studio
- Assist in the creation of efficient SAS cubes in SAS OLAP Cube Studio
- Assist in defining and creating SAS Information Maps for authorized users
- Assist in defining requirements and creating OLAP Member Level security for authorized users
- Assist in Optimization of Performance for SAS OLAP Cubes (SQL to SAS, SAS OLAP Build Time, SAS OLAP slice and dice, SAS OLAP aggregations, partitioning, etc
- Assist in configuration and optimization of our SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence platform to use SQL
- Assist in setting up initial member level security on SAS OLAP cubes using UDF’s
- Assist in setting up templates for a public access tool (drop and drag reporting)
- Assist in setting up our SAS Information Delivery Portal (IDP)
- Assist in setting up custom Portlets for SAS IDP
- Assist in creating SAS OLAP cube build jobs for limited user interruption (utilizing SASOPERATE features)
- Explore options for implementing dynamic changes to cubes
- Provide recommendations for SAS capabilities as it relates to the entire design
- Provide general technical expertise on day‐to‐day issues, and, resolving and researching commonly
- known issues utilizing the following products:
- SAS Information Delivery Portal
- SAS OLAP Cube Studio
- SAS Web Reports Studio
- SAS BI / Dashboard products
- SAS Management Console
- SAS Enterprise Guide
Deliverables - Types of key deliverables include, but are not limited to the following:
- Defining and implementing Enterprise wide BI Solution
- Refine standards, policies and procedures being followed for development of BI solutions
- Generate required information for project team and stakeholders
- Enable Business Intelligence solutions that meets the department’s needs
- Specifications, Test plans and other documentation required for development and maintenance of the solutions
