.Net Application Developer Lead
Location: Plymouth, MN
Duration : 6 Months
Description/Project Information:
· Currently the projects are around Healthcare Reform
· Most of the applications are in VB 6
· They have ported 3 of the apps to C# WinForms
· They rest are going to be ported to ASP.NET MVC
· This project is about moving away from direct DB calls and going to WCF services
Technologies & Tools:
· ASP.NET MVC,WinForms,.NET 4.0,C#, Web Services (WCF, SOAP)
· VB6 is a plus
· BizTalk is a strong plus
· SQL Server 2008 (storedProcs, UDF, query optimization)
· SSRS is a plus
· SSIS is a plus
· Linq to Entities
· Entity Framework 5
· Microsoft Unit Testing Framework
Development Methodology:
Ø SOA
Ø Repository Pattern
Ø Unit Testing
Ø Microsoft Unit Testing Framework
Ø Waterfall / Spiral PM process
Ø Quarterly releases divided into 4 week sprints
Ø Waterfall inside of each sprint cycle
Ø Separate PM and BA
Ø Team Dynamics:
Ø 30% onshore (5 devs)
Ø 70% offshore (15 devs)
Skills Needed:
Ø Most of the work will be in the services
Ø Looking for a Senior Development Lead
Ø Half the day directing offshore resources and half the day doing hands on coding
Ø Looking for a collaborative individual
Ø 2 - 3 years of BizTalk
Ø 2 - 3 years of WinForms
Ø 2 - 3 years of ASP.NET MVC
Notes:
· Microsoft Project tools are a plus
· MVC is a huge plus if they have it.
· They are looking for someone with MVC experience who is willing to learn WinForms
· All new development will be done in ASP.NET MVC
