Position: PowerBuilder Developer
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 12 months
Job Requirement:
Work directly with IT, and Business Users to deliver high-value technical solutions and capabilities in support of changing business requirements, new business initiatives, and general application support services
Act as Project Implementation Specialist in support of system projects initiatives for the Crude Transportation businesses
Support existing business applications by troubleshooting issues, analyzing possible cause, defining solutions, then working through defined Change Control Processes to enable quick resolve
Work directly with end users to understand and document new/changing business requirements and function enhancements requested
Develop technical specifications and develop solutions in support of business requirements Facilitate and coordinate end user acceptance testing, change management, issue management, problem escalation and resolution per standard project development life cycle
Acquire and maintain system and business knowledge needed to support direct users and other internal technical teams
Responsible for ensuring compliance of Change Management and SOX Control policies related to Commercial System changes
Work Experience:
5+ years experience designing, developing, integrating, and supporting enterprise commercial applications 3+ years experience developing/supporting Oracle based applications running on Windows Proficient in the following technologies: C# .NET, PowerBuilder (Version 10 or later, PFC)
Strong problem solving, analytical & decision making skills Strong communications and writing skills Proficient in database design, table creation, development of stored procedures, and referential integrity
Preferred - 2+ years hands-on support of Crude Oil Commercial Systems (Marketing, Transportation, Scheduling, Measurement)
