Term: 6 months, renewable
Location: White Plains, NY
Effective: Immediately Rate:$40/- - Establishes network specifications by conferring with team members, users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements.
- Understanding network performance tools (Solar winds, NetFlow) by evaluating network availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections.
- Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.
- Prepares users by designing and maintaining documentation for end user community, self-help training programs; providing references and support. Documentation of installations, standards and go-lives for future operational support.
- Upgrades network by conferring with the team, vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Requires Skills/Qualification: Cisco Switches, Cisco Wireless, Network Performance Tuning, LAN Knowledge, Network Design, Implementation, Problem Solving, Multi-tasking, Coordination, Technical Understanding, Quick Study, Technical Zeal,
- Communication skills: Customer service is very important. Ability to articulate technical matters, discussions to the everyday business partner.
- Nice to haves: Cisco routers qualifications, IOS, QoS, Juniper and Riverbed Acceleration, Palo Alto Firewall administration, international experience a plus but not mandatory.
