JOB TITLE – SENIOR DATABASE DEVELOPER
Location:Stamford,CT
Duration:6+ Months
Working with senior application development staff, assist with the design and development of complex SQL queries and stored procedures. Perform unit and integration testing on newly developed components. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving incidents during the software development lifecycle. Must be a dynamic thinker in an advanced team-oriented development environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyze and develop applications using SQL Server 2008 utilizing Visual Studio and TFS. This includes but is not limited to Stored Procedures, Views, table maintenance, SSRS, and .Net CLR development. (REQUIRED - very important)
- Interpreting program specifications.
- Creating application design documentation.
- Develop or modify SQL queries and stored procedures to meet business requirements.
- Perform tests and produce results to ensure accurate compliance with project request requirements.
- Must have experience in all phases of software development life cycle including project management, functional requirements definition, technical design, development, testing, quality assurance, system certification, systems implementation and system validation. (REQUIRED - very important)
Required:
Someone with .net framework and C# background is nice to have. (.Net CLR development is nice to have).
SQL Server 2008 required. Source control tools experience required (should have experience with Visual Studio and TFS). Knowledge of SQL Server 2012 would be a plus.
SSIS experience is required.
Should be able to write complex SQL queries.
Candidates will be looking at design but would not be doing hands-on designing but may be after months.
Need go getters. Problem solving. Should be able to solve bugs quickly.
