Description: Mandatory Technical Skills
Overall10+ years of IT Experience.
o Minimum of 3 -5 years direct experience of release management.
o Proven experience in overseeing the implementation of application releases to a production environment.
o Experience with scheduling and managing Development/Integration, QA,Staging and Production environments
o Direct,hands-on experience with project management tools.
o Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
o Extensive experience with core software applications.
o Working knowledge of the Software Development Life cycle
o Excellent understanding of the organizations goals and objectives.
o Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
o Excellent written and oral communication skills.
o Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
o Strong leadership skills. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
o Ability to conduct research into application issues and products.
o Highly self-motivated and directed.
o Keen attention to detail.
o Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
o Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

"The Release Manager is the focal point for managing,communicating and strategizing application and infrastructure releases. The Release Manager's responsibilities will include planning, developing,coordinating and leading release activities with Engineering, Quality, Project Management, Operations, Product and Support teams. This person will lead the successful deployment of releases to QA, Staging and Production environments.The Release Manager will act as the gatekeeper in facilitating all agreed entry/exit criteria and process checkpoints are satisfactorily negotiated and received. In addition, this individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the support groups on issues related to the testing and deployment of business-critical information and applications
