Job Title

Quality Assurance Analyst - Performance Testing Engineer

Job Description

 

Work with a dynamic, fast-paced team of performance test engineers. Team members will be responsible for developing performance test strategies/methodologies, scripting, effective execution of the performance strategy, troubleshooting, analysis and reporting results back to business partners. The ideal candidate will need to have a strong understanding of the connections and dependencies between applications. They will be part of our ongoing effort for continuous quality improvements across our web sites and internally supported systems.

Performance test will utilize Micro Focus – Silk Performer. Defect tracking will utilize HP – Quality Center. Capacity Planning and Silk Performer performance tool subject matter expert (SME) experience preferred. Develop and maintain scalable, reusable performance test scripts using Micro Focus / Silk Performer Execute performance test scripts and analyze load test results.

In this role, the candidate must be able to multi-task, working on multiple complex projects or assignments concurrently. The candidate will work closely with other team members and proactively escalate any scheduling conflicts or potential timeline risks across all projects to management.

Candidate must be able to lead new QAP initiatives which will include updating Sr.Management, lead QAP meetings, holding QAP planning session and creating project plans.

 

Responsibilities

·         Analyzes business and functional requirements to ensure requirements are clear and testable

·         Gather Performance Requirements

·         Decomposing requirements documentation in order to produce robust test capabilities

·         Analyze load performance capacity needs from user requirements

·         Develop Load and Performance Test Cases

·         Creating load and performance test plan

·         Determine Performance Environment Requirements

·         Build Load and Performance Test Environment

·         Determine Load Test Data Requirements

·         Develop Performance Capacity Model

·         Create Load and Performance Test Scripts

·         Calibrate Capacity\Predictive Performance  Model

·         Prepare Test Execution Schedule

·         Load and Performance Test Execution

·         Challenges requirements and design

·         Recommends alternatives to development staff

·         Identify Existing Performance Bottlenecks

·         Load and Performance Analysis

·         Publish Pertinent Performance Metrics

·         Participate in Capacity Exercises

·         Create New QAP Processes

·         Review new hardware and software technology

·         Lead New QAP initiatives  

Required Qualifications

 

·         Bachelor or Masters in Computer Engineering or equivalent discipline

·         7+ plus years Performance testing Engineering a must.

·         Experience using and coding in Micro Focus / Silk Performer a must.

·         Experience with Java Performance Monitoring concepts is a must

·         Experience with testing the following application, SAP, Ecommerce is a must

·         Experience in development a must

·         Quality Center knowledge a must
