Role: SQL Server DBA

Location: East Brunswick NJ

Duration: 3-6 Months (Strong possibility of extension)

 

Job requirement:

·         5-7 years Microsoft SQL Server experience

·         Proficiency and expertise in SQL Server Replication (transactional)

·         Experience SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), T-SQL stored procedures, triggers, and PowerShell would be a plus!

·         Experience in SQL Server Clustering, mirroring, log shipping, failover cluster

·         ERP and Business knowledge

 

Responsibilities:

·         Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements

·         Check Databases space (growth, free and used space)

·         Check Backups (Full and Logs)

·         Check SQL Logs (errors, warnings)

·         Monitor SQL Servers activity (CPU, Ram, Batch requests, I/O, Network)

·         Monitor Tempdb (use, growth, I/O)

·         Monitor Log Shipping / Mirroring

·         Track database activities/deadlocks

·         Maintain Index policy to support optimal performance

·         Periodic refresh of Test and Pre-Production Databases

·         Performance Tuning, as required

·         Trace Flag management

·         Correct suspect database

·         Create and manage data replication

·         Monitor and optimize performance of the database

·         Develop archive solution

·         Support software developers with database operations

·         Proactive housekeeping/archiving and shrinking of databases

·         Manage maintenance jobs
