Title: Onbase (Hyland product) Developer
Location: Irving, TX
Duration: 2-3 years contract
Interview Process: Telephone interview. Face to Face Interview (if local) or WebEx (if not).
JOB DESCRIPTION (this is all we have):
Onbase Development (Must have seven current years of experience).
Emphasis on financial sector using OnBase Workflow\Workview development and design.
The assignment:
1. Start date: We want them to start as soon as we can locate the appropriate candidates.
2. Work environment: On-site required. Limited remote work.
Situation:
Company has three environment; Development, Test, Production. The Development environment is acting oddly. It should look like Production. Need to identify the problem and fix it.
Need the strength of a systems administrator to get them further.
Needs to be able to troubleshoot problems.
Needs to be able to handle typical change life cycles.
Do QA.
Onbase Systems Administration:
Need excellent communicator.
Capable of creating a configuration document. Tell how system is configured so client can know you understand it.
Must understand Onbase and document management system.
Have you ever migrated from development environment to test environment?
Have you ever moved from a test environment to a production environment?
Onbase Development:
Have you ever developed and designed a document work flow?
How many steps did that work flow have? Most work flows have 20 or so steps. Do not tell the candidate this. They should know it.
Want was the work flow?
There are two big things in document management. Do you know how to store the document, index the document, and take the document through a work flow?
Store in a flooring type of structure, key word search it Do not tell the candidate this. They should know it.
My development is not working in the production environment. Tell me where would you start?
Gain and maintain a general expertise in document management and workflow systems.
Develop strategies, frameworks and processes to facilitate the development of stable application systems to support the requirements of the enterprise.
Gain knowledge of scanning and document work-flow application (OnBase), design and implementation considerations in a healthcare environment.
Gain knowledge of how to design, develop, and monitor the interface queues in OnBase.
Work with end-user areas to support the development scan related work-flows, indexing strategies and document access.
Assist in delivery of project related work that includes system implementations, integrated projects and production support.
Be innovative in streamlining our development processes and build automation of migration and mentoring into our infrastructure with the goal of reducing our production support overhead.
Must be able to execute work plans and work with project team leadership to integrate these plans into larger project plans.
Have ability to escalate and communicate system outages that may result in patient care impacts.
Keep current with skills and research the software industry to help pave the way for future development strategies.
Provide sufficient documentation that allows team to follow their work.
Provide mentoring to others and to be able to work independently to manage their stream of work that may involve other team members.
Ability to develop and maintain scripts, code and configuration of scanning and imaging components to implement desired workflows.
