Duration: 6+ Months

Description:

This position will support the Retail Analytics & Infrastructure team in the Retail Marketing division.  Retail Analytics team is dedicated to support Retail Strategy and Execution by providing best-in-class data driven business decision making capabilities through quality driven analysis, speed to market solutions and superior customer experience. The successful candidate for this position will serve a key role in the areas of retail business performance management:

• Trend Analysis and Customer Analytics
• BI Dashboards and Visualization enhancements
• Data management

 

Specific responsibilities include:

• Design and develop sophisticated statistical and quantitative approaches, databases, and models for analysis using advanced technical skills and extensive knowledge of enterprise level customer and revenue data
• Lead development of the visualization interfaces by using advanced technology for efficient dissemination of the complex information to large groups of users across the enterprise
• Retrieve and analyze large amounts of data from various data warehouses for decision making using advanced data manipulation, forecasting techniques and predictive modeling
• Responsible for writing programs to maintain and control computer systems software for operating systems, networked systems, and database systems.
• Responsible for creating the software platform, and then fine-tuning the final program after it has been made. 

 

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree/equivalent in Computer Science, MIS or related discipline. MS preferred.
• 5 years' experience in systems development and the skills/platform/environment requested by management
• Software:       SAS, Python, R, SQL, Alteryx
• Visualization:   Spotfire, Tableau, Excel
• Databases:       Oracle, Teradata, Hadoop

 

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent human relations (customer service and interpersonal), communication (verbal and written), planning and project management skills
• Strong data analytics, data mining and data science ­experience
• Strong programming skills in one or more programming languages - SAS, Python, R, SQL and proficiency in RDBMS, Hadoop, Spotfire, Tableau, Alteryx.
• Full working knowledge of program design, application development methodology, and language/package.
• Ability to convey complex analytics in a understandable way to non-executive and executive levels
• Proven critical thinking, problem solving, quantitative and analytical skills
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues.
