Job Title: IT Project Manager
Location: Charlotte,NC
Durations: 6 Months contract
Rate:$50/hr Max
It is Very Very Immediate requirement.
Job Purpose/ Description:
To handle / ensure the overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project oriented work efforts; establish and implement project management processes and methodologies to help ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, and meet customer expectations; responsible for assembling project plans and team assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review, and escalating functional, quality and timeline issues appropriately; responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources; coordinate communication with all areas of the enterprise that impact the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work being managed; follow rigorous SDLC (IT only) and project management best practices; comply with internal Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and other compliance related processes, as well as adhere to change control and problem management procedures
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Manages a cross-functional project of medium complexity.
Able to deliver projects on time and within budget, meeting high quality standards and customer expectations.
Able to analyze business unit technology needs, dissecting problems and suggesting process oriented solutions.
Creates project plans and teamwork assignments, identifies resource needs and directs daily work efforts
Tracks and monitors project execution, regularly updating project plans and status reports.
Actively identifies any issues or risks associated with a project, escalating them and possibly implementing mitigation strategies for risk prevention and timely resolution.
Serves as liaison between IT and business units or vendors; gathers, analyzes, and communicates business needs and requirements to the IT organization.
Negotiates deliverables from initial requirements to final implementation across multiple business units / functional areas.
May have human resource management responsibilities, e.g., hiring, performance management.
May manage and/or mentor project management staff.
Required education/experience:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field.
Project Management Certification preferred.
4 to 6 years of IT work experience and project management.
