Short Description: The Senior Business Subject Matter Expert (SME) brings proven experience from related businesses or organizations as well as system integration and technology experience (more than 10 yrs experience).
Complete Description: The Senior Business Subject Matter Expert (SME) brings proven experience from related businesses or organizations as well as system integration and technology experience. They consult with the client to define needs or problems, conduct research, perform studies and surveys to obtain data, and analyze problems to advise and make recommendations on business and technical solutions based on hands-on experience solving similar business problems. They are able to utilize knowledge of theory, principles, or technology of specific discipline or field of specialization.
Specific Responsibilities: Work with PLCB assigned employees as a business consultant in the use and improvement of the existing Manugistics environment and related business processes. Success will be measured by the achievement of the following specific goals: Movement to a weekly ordering pattern, Optimization of DC inventory levels that will decrease out of stocks and increase fill rates while maintaining reasonable inventory levels. The major elements that will lead to this success will include:
Documentation of the business rules and settings within the current environment,
Documentation of any currently unused functionality that would be of benefit,
Gap Analysis of any functionality not currently being used to its potential,
Provide solutions for the use of existing functionality to achieve ordering and inventory goals,
Document improvements made to the business rules and settings, from both a management and users perspective,
Test new business rules and settings within the test environment,
In-depth key operator training on Manugistics functionality in current or prospective use, and parameter settings related to that functionality.
Provide knowledge transfer and documentation (users guide) of the new business rules and settings to PLCB staff.
