Summary:
One of the fastest online brokerages has a great contract opportunity for a hard working person with the desire and aspiration to truly do great things!
Specifically, we need a JavaScript guru who has written a lot of his own libraries, extended existing open source libraries, and has used web sockets.
This is a 4month contract assignment with an oppty to go longer term
Position can be based out of Jersey City NJ or Charlotte NC.
Previous Brokerage experience is a major plus.
Our client is building a new Streaming Trade application - feature will be robust and highly interactive, ie Dashboard with moving applications.
This UI Developer will have excellent experience with JavaScript & HTML, no design experience needed.
Experience creating Charts
The application is ready to have HTML done in the next two weeks and they are working on the APIs.

Role & Responsibilities:
Play the role of the accountable point for the front end development for an industry changing hyper-active online tool.
Be able to work in a high-pressure, high-volume web shop meeting strict deadlines.
Working on the presentation layer for multiple applications using advanced JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
Advanced knowledge of all three technologies is an absolute must.
Comfortable working in an Agile development methodology.
Extensive experience with jQuery interactivity, best practices, and interface development required.
Ability to work with our designers to assist in constructing layouts and build out functioning wireframes.
Programming for all supported browsers: IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, with knowledge of appropriate fall-back techniques when using advanced features.
Good communication skills and ability to demonstrate prototypes and project sprints results
Ability to document scope and make sound, performance-related architectural decisions.
Participate in weekly project meetings and contribute to the establishing priorities, timelines, and requirements for said projects.
Success will be measured against your abilities to perform against timelines and project goals.
Ability to communicate issues or problems in a timely manner.
