~~ Technical Recruiters Network ~~ Urgent requirement for the position of UI developer @ Cambridge/MA

For immediate response please revert to dinesh.balyan@rgtalent.com.

Hi Associate,

Currently, I am recruiting candidates for one of my requirement as mentioned below. If you have a matching profile, please send me the updated resume along with contact details at the earliest.

Job Title

UI developer

Project Location

Cambridge MA

Duration

6 months /Contract

Skills Required and Job Description:

Interview Mode: Telephonic followed by Face 2 Face

 Job Description:

  • This resource will be working closely with Morgan Mills, Tech Lead, who is a .Net developer. Morgan will handle the heavy lifting on the back-end and this person will be doing the majority of the front-end development.
  • The OAA (Open Access Automation) project will involve re-designing a legacy VB6 application and rewriting it as a web application. This application allows synthetic chemists to perform a plate-based combinatorial experiment that generates up to 48 compounds at a time.
  • To do this type of experiment, the chemist must use several different instruments which include a liquid handler to facilitate the mixing of reactants, prep HPLC machines to separate components after the reaction has finished, and QC LCMS machines to analyze the composition and purity of the reaction mixture at different times in the process.
  • The legacy application is very rigid in its workflow, so one of the primary goals of the project is to design a number of different controls that can be put together in a flexible manner to allow the workflow to be easily modified based on the needs of the chemist.
  • Among other things, these controls will allow the chemist to view the data for his samples at the various steps and choose which samples to keep or exclude from the remainder of the experiment.
  • The controls will interact with data sources via JSON web services, so the candidate should be comfortable with making the AJAX calls to these services.
  • The ideal candidate would have experience in UI and control development using these technologies.
  • The candidate should also be familiar with the advantages and drawbacks of these technologies and would be able to provide input on design decisions for these controls.
  • Experience working on scientific applications is a plus, and a basic understanding of the chemistry involved would be useful as well but not a must

Skills Required:

  • Need a front-end / UI person
  • Strong HTML5, CSS3, Javascript (Jquery experience)
  • We are looking for a candidate to work primarily on the development of these new controls. The technologies to be used for these controls will most likely include a combination of ASP.NET (classic and MVC) HTML 5 and jQuery.

Thanks & Regards
